How does it work?
 
Hitman Pro uses several methods to analyses your file system for malware activity:
Behavioural scanning - SurfRight has conducted research into the usual characteristics and behavioural patterns of malware and uses this information to assess what files on your system could be malware.

Cloud Scanning - Once Hitman Pro has identified a piece of potential malware it sends the file to the scan cloud. This is a server which analyses the suspicious files - if the files are known to the cloud scanner, the identification only takes milliseconds. If it is unknown on the cloud, the files are scanned with 5 different vendor's antivirus software and identified.
